4. What societies and event organizers can see

When a user registers for or attends an event, the relevant society or event organizer may receive information needed to run the event, such as name, contact details, college, course/year information, registration status, Event Pass status, and check-in/attendance status.

This information is used for event operations, entry/check-in, attendance reporting, safety, and follow-up related to that event.

5. What campaign partners or brands may receive

Youthverse may work with brands, partners, or campaign organizers for missions, perks, drops, sponsored activations, or opportunities.

Youthverse may share aggregated, campaign-relevant, or participation-related information where needed to operate the feature or campaign. Personal information is shared only where needed for the relevant feature/campaign, with consent where required.

Sharing aggregated, non-identifiable insights with partners is optional. You choose this when you sign up.

6. No selling of personal data

Youthverse does not sell personal data.

7. Age and access

Youthverse is for people aged 16 and above. People under 16 cannot use Youthverse.

Users aged 16 or 17 get events-only access: they can browse and register for events. To register for an event we collect only what the event organiser needs to run it (name, mobile number, college, course and year), and share it only with that event's organiser. Users aged 16 or 17 cannot use community, messaging or other social features. Full access starts automatically on their 18th birthday.

If parental consent or additional legal steps are required for a certain user or feature, Youthverse may limit access until those requirements are satisfied.

8. User choices and rights

Users may contact Youthverse to request access, correction, update, or deletion of their personal data, or to raise a privacy-related concern.

Users may withdraw consent where processing is based on consent, subject to limitations where data is required for legal, safety, fraud-prevention, event-operation, dispute-resolution, or record-keeping purposes.

Marketing messages are optional. You choose at sign-up and can turn them off at any time in your profile settings. Notifications can be switched off in the app's notification settings or in your phone's settings.

You can delete your account at any time. In the app: Profile, then Account & support, then Delete account. On the website, or if you no longer have the app, see youthverse.in/delete-account.

9. Data retention

Youthverse keeps information for as long as your account is active and as needed to operate the platform, prevent abuse and fraud, resolve disputes and meet legal requirements. When you delete your account, your profile, YouthPass, posts, messages, event registrations, uploads and other personal data are deleted. Copies in routine backups are removed as those backups expire. Counts and statistics that do not identify you may remain.

10. Data security

Youthverse uses reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect data. However, no online platform can guarantee absolute security.

11. Service providers and where data is stored

We use these service providers to run Youthverse. They process data only to provide their service to us:

  • Supabase: database, sign-in and file storage. Your data is stored on servers in Singapore.
  • Expo, Apple and Google: delivering push notifications to your phone.
  • Google and Apple: Sign in with Google and Sign in with Apple.
